I am lucky to have come to know Rabbi Katzin and his school, Sinai Academy, so early on in my American years.
The
quality of the secular education in Sinai is not to be underestimated
as my son went on to MIT after only two years in Sinai. This is a sign
of Rabbi Katzin’s leadership. This furthermore, shows that Jewish education
does not stand in the way of a great secular education. At Sinai Academy
students are able to receive twice – twice! – as much education.
One may feel, that when their child attends a Jewish School – something, totally unfamiliar – that this communication gap can grow too wide. Fortunately, Sinai leadership understands that. Rabbi Katzin himself is an immigrant from the former Soviet Union, and as such, relates to these children entering his school.
